After another great weekly update to the PlayStation Store, choosing what to purchase is usually a tough decision. Sony, however, understands your tough decision-making and is considering helping you with it.
The company recently sent out surveys to registered PS3 owners in the Asian market in hopes of getting feedback as to what gamers would like from the PlayStation Network as well as the PlayStation Store. One of the possible responses that owners were given was whether they would like to see a monthly subscription plan that would allow users unlimited downloads from the online store.
This would be interesting especially since Sony’s online gaming service is already free and might give them an edge over their competitors who already require their users to pay for their online gaming services plus downloadable content. This unlimited download concept would work great if the US and European PlayStation Stores were to take the Japanese store as it’s model.
The Japanese store has been highly praised for having a multitude downloadable content including many original games as well as a massive collection of PS One classic titles that easily surpass the efforts of the US and European stores combined.
Although Sony has yet to officially confirm anything regarding the subject, it at least shows they are considering this feature as part of their online services and hopefully users will let Sony know.
