Sony has begun informing retailers how many PS5’s they will be allocated on launch day, with retailers emailing customers about whether or not they have been allocated a launch day system.
This has begun with confirmation that UK retailer ShopTo sending out emails to customers confirming whether or not they have been allocated a PS5 for launch day. Two of our editors have received such emails saying that they were granted a regular PS5 for launch day.
ShopTo has said that for those who have not been allocated a launch day pre-order they should still keep their reservation to maintain their spot in the cue, just-in-case someone cancels their order.
Therefore, those of you who have pre-ordered with other retailers should keep your eyes on your emails to see if any such confirmation comes through for you.
The PS5 is set to release on November 12, 2020, in the US and November 19, 2020, in the EU and UK.
