A number of key Sony games on Steam have seen their prices increased by the format holder in select countries this week.
SackBoy A Big Adventure and Returnal have both seen an increase in price in areas such as Argentina, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Japan, and South Korea, according to ResetEra member Chairmanchuck. In addition, the prices have been verified by VGC, with games including God of War and Spider-Man Remastered have also been given a price increase.
Canada has seen all four titles increase in price by $10, which represents an increase of 14.5% — 17% based on the starting price. Meanwhile, Japan has seen the price of these games increase by 29% — 32.5%.
The biggest price increase for PlayStation Steam games appears to be in Argentina, with God of War going from 4,199 pesos to 8,499. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered has also doubled in price, while SackBoy and Returnal are up 67% on their original cost.
Sony has made a big push into the PC gaming space over the past few years, with many key PlayStation Studios titles no longer just limited to PS4 & PS5.
