Sony offers further updates on PlayStation Network outage

Sony’s Social Media Senior Manager Sid Shuman has taken to the company’s official U.S. PlayStation Blog to offer further updates on the continued outage of the PlayStation Network.

In a short address, Shuman allayed concerns regarding the nature of the issue explaining that due to type of attack, gamers’ personal details were not at risk.

‘’Although this has impacted your ability to access our network and enjoy our services, no personal information has been accessed,’’ he said in the post.

The DDoS attack earlier today won’t be affecting all corners of the PlayStation world, however, with many people still able to sign-in online into their PSN accounts.

Shuman also reiterated that Sony was doing everything in its power to rectify the situation and that it’s hoped that all the services would be up-and-running as soon as possible.
