Sony Online Entertainment has confirmed details of its “Welcome Back” initiative for all Station account holders affected by the recent downtime of the company’s network servers.
First up, all Station account holders will receive 45 days of free game time. This will apply to all players who pay for online game access via the billing cycle. Game time will automatically be added to accounts and applies to any game already registered on the service. To claim the time, SOE has warned that users must log-in before 11:59 pm PST August 31, 2011.
SOE will also add 500 Station Cash to all Station Access subscriber accounts. Meanwhile lifetime subscribers will be given extra game currency instead of more game time. DC Universe Online players, for example, will receive 10 Marks of Distinction.
To celebrate the return of the service, special events are being hosted in many games to welcome back players and a number of items are being given away for free. Sony details all the eligible games and the freebies on offer the official blog.
Users are reminded that they should reset their Station Account passwords as soon as they log on.
