Sony has confirmed (via invitations) the time and location of its PlayStation E3 2016 press conference: Monday, June 13 at 6PM Pacific Time at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
From 2011 to 2015, Sony hosted the PlayStation E3 conferences at the large Los Angeles Sports Arena, which recently closed and is being torn down for a new soccer stadium.
The past few years, Electronic Arts hosted its press conference at the Shrine Auditorium, but it has opted to skip E3 this year, with no conference and no presence on the show floor. Instead, the major games publisher is hosting an off-site public event next door to E3’s LA Convention Center those days called EA Play.
With EA out, Sony is returning to Shrine Auditorium, which last saw a PlayStation E3 press conference in 2010.
Sony has not announced if the conference will be streamed live at movie theaters in North America for free, as it did the past two years.
What do you think Sony will unveil at its PlayStation E3 2016 press conference? The upgraded PS4 console, PS4K or PS4.5 (codenamed Neo)? God of War 4? Can they top last year’s, when The Last Guardian, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Shenmue III appeared?
Let us know your thoughts in the comments and look forward to all our coverage from the E3 show floor next month!
