Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that it will release a series of Ghost of Yotei-themed content alongside the game on October 2, including PS5 covers and DualSense controller.
As detailed on the PlayStation Blog, the PS5 Console — Ghost of Yotei Gold Limited Edition Bundle is set to release globally and is inspired by kintsugi Japanese art, which is a process used to repair damaged ceramics with lacquer and gold. The design not only mirrors the personal journey of Atsu in Ghost of Yotei, but also captures the essence and aesthetic of kintsugi.

Sony is also offering the PS5 Console — Ghost of Yotei Black Limited Edition Bundle, which is available exclusively through PlayStation Direct. This takes inspiration from Sumi-e, a traditional Japanese art form featuring the use of black ink on paintings. Both of these hardware bundles feature a matching DualSense controller incorporating the silhouette of Atsu on the touchpad.
Finally, the PS5 Console – Ghost of Yeti Limited Edition Bundle features a limited edition console with disc drive, matching DualSense controller, and a digital copy of Ghost of Yotei Standard Edition alongside pre-order content.
Sucker Punch Productions’ Creative Director, Jason Connell, commented:
Our inspiration for this design came straight from one of the core aspects within the game: a deep focus on exploration. This includes the hand-drawn icons Atsu marks on her map, a kintsugi-style effect pulled from her Ghost mask, and brushstrokes reminiscent of her Sumi-e paintings. The towering Mount Yōtei is included at the center of the console design to pull it all together, and Atsu is spotlighted on the DualSense controller. Each of these elements were thoughtfully woven into both the console and controller designs.
Ghost of Yotei is set to launch exclusively for PS5 on October 2.
