Sony Computer Entertainment President and Group CEO Andrew House has said the company is hoping to flog five million PlayStation 4 consoles by March 31, 2014.
House made the sales forecast during Sony’s Tokyo Game Show keynote earlier today.
To put it into perspective, five million sales by the end of the current financial year would mean Sony plans to shift at least one million PS4s per month from launch.
Sony’s next-generation console will be released in North America on November 15 and arrives in Europe on November 29.
PS4 launches in Japan in February 2014.
