Sony to bring classic remakes to PSN

Sony is looking to expand their PlayStation Network service to make it a more attractable feature rather than a gimmick. One of Sony’s most recent acts was the release of PSN cards, allowing users to take an alternate route to using their credit or debit cards online to purchase from the PSN Store. By doing this, PSN seems more accessible.

Now that Sony is creating ways for more gamers to come in, it is now rumored that they [Sony] is partnering up with a third party Japanese developer to create some remakes of their past games, which will be downloadable through the PSN. The Japanese developer has not yet been revealed, but just the notion of being able to experience nostalgia by playing a Capcom, Konami, or even Square-Enix (formally known as SquareSoft) remake, is enough to get any gamer that is 20 years or older excited.

It is key to remember that this is just a rumor, so please do not take this to the bank. If more surfaces, we’ll make sure that you are one of the first to know of it.
