Sony has given us a first look at the redesigned PS5 and PS4 mobile app which will “enhance your gaming experiences on both PS4 and PS5”. The new app is available now and comes with a redesigned interface. To run it you will need iOS 2.2 or later and Android 6.0.
The new app includes an updated user interface allowing you to see things like your trophy list and played games. Messages have now been integrated into the app and existing threads have been carried over. Voice Chat and Party Groups can be operated from the app and the PlayStation Store is run natively. Remoted downloads will be available and you can sign in to your PS5 straight from the app. Finally, an official News section has been added.
