Hand-drawn action-RPG Sonzai is coming to PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X and Xbox One in 2022, 2 Odd Diodes and Top Hat Studio have announced.

Set in the town Kumotoshi, Sonzai focuses on life, magic and relationships, and the threads that bind the town’s inhabitants together. It’s 2 Odd Diodes debut project, and players gamers in a dynamic, living town packed with unique characters that go about their own lives and stories.
According to the press blurb, Sonzai fully embraces social links and relationship building, which affect the game’s story and the ‘scope of the player’s skill.’ Meanwhile, the game offers character-action combat married with RPG mechanics, bringing customisable run abilities and weapon loadouts for players to tinker with.
