Namco Bandai has confirmed that the characters of Heihachi Mishima and Spawn will be available for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Soul Calibur II HD Online.
Previously, each character was a format-exclusive for the original SCII – Heihachi for PS2, and Spawn for Xbox. The GameCube release featured Link from The Legend of Zelda series.
Heihachi of course hails from Tekken, a series that up until then at least had become synonymous with the PlayStation brand. Spawn on the other hand originates from Todd McFarlane’s comic book series.
Soul Calibur II HD Online is being released to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the original game’s release, and will launch in fall 2013. Aside from spruced up visuals, the fighter will also include full online multiplayer, a feature not present in the original version.
