Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that it is sunsetting Soul Calibur V on PS3 and Xbox 360 on June 19, 2023.
Speaking on Twitter, the company confirmed that not only will the game no longer be purchasable digitally, but all DLC will also no longer be sold. Those of you who have physical copies can still play the game, and you can still buy the game from the PlayStation Store until June 19.
Valiant Warriors – Soul Calibur V is taking its final curtain call on the stage of history and will be sunset on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on June 19, 2023. The base game and all associated DLC will no longer be available for purchase. Thank you for your continued support.
Soul Calibur V was released back in 2012, and was seen as something of a controversial entry among hardcore fans, as it eschews a number of popular female characters including Sophitia, Talim, Cassandra, Xianghua, Taki, and Seong Mi-na. The game introduces a brand new protagonist, Patroklos, who takes centre stage in the game’s Story Mode, which is split into 20 episodes.
