Ubisoft has finally nailed down a South Park: The Fractured But Whole release date following numerous delays for the much-anticipated action-RPG.
Speaking during its latest financial call earlier this week, the French publishing behemoth revealed that the latest addition to the South Park videogame series will ship for PS4, PC, and Xbox One on October 17, 2017.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole was originally announced at E3 2016 and initially pegged for a December launch, before being pushed to Q1 2017. Finally, in February this year the project was again delayed to allow additional development time, which brings us up to date. As a bonus, you’ll be able to pick up South Park: The Stick of Truth for free if you purchase the sequel before January 31, 2018.
Ubisoft also confirmed that The Fractured But Whole will be available in four flavors: Standard, Gold, Steelbook, and Collector’s Edition, although prices have yet to be confirmed. Pre-ordering the game will give you access to an in-game companion in the shape of Towelie, who will offer “helpful and hilarious advice and commentary to players at key locations throughout the game.”
