Special PS Move peripheral for BioShock: Infinite

Irrational Games’ BioShock: Infinite is to receive a special PlayStation Move peripheral, Sony has confirmed.

An article on PlayStation.com reads: "A special PS Move peripheral is being produced that will draw you even deeper into this stunning vision of a parallel future.”

BioShock head honcho Ken Levine confirmed at E3 in June that his upcoming title would support PlayStation Move functionality, though little else has been revealed on the feature.

However, he has gone on record to say that gamers can opt to ignore the motion control aspect if they wish.

"Any experience that sits in the realm of motion play needs to be kept separate from the main experience," said Levine.

"It needs to be firewalled off so that if this experiment isn’t for you, or doesn’t turn out to be all that great, you just ignore it."

BioShock: Infinite is due out for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 in 2012.
