The recent ransomware attack on Insomniac Games has revealed documents that hint the Sony-owned developer is working on a Spider-Verse game.
While images of Marvel’s Wolverine were leaked in the cyberattack, it’s now emerged that details on three as-yet unannounced projects were leaked, including RCE, Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, and Spider-Verse. The latter is speculated to be the multiplayer project that Insomniac Games has been working on for a number of years now, but nothing has been confirmed.
The group that hacked Insomniac Games are known as Rhysida, and are threatening to publish the stolen data in seven days.
Marvel’s Wolverine hasn’t been given a release date yet, although it has been rumoured that the game won’t be released until after 2024. The listing of Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is probably not too surprising considering the success of the sequel and the previous titles, although even if it is in the works, it’s way too early to expect anything on the game.
