Final Fantasy XIII-2 will receive post-launch support in the form of extra costumes, creatures and weapons, developer Square Enix has revealed.
Speaking at the Tokyo Game Show (via Siliconera), producer Yoshinori Kitase added that some game’s planned downloadable content will be reserved as a pre-order incentive
Of course, this is in strike contrast to the game’s predecessor, Final Fantasy XIII, which hasn’t received any DLC.
"Regarding the DLC content, we feel that the final product is 100 per cent enjoyable… it’s the complete package. So we’re not planning any DLC at this time," said Kitase.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 is due out in the U.S. on January 31, with a European launch following on February 3.
