Square’s confirmed via the latest issue of Famitsu magazine (via Siliconera) that it will be releasing Lightning story DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2 in May.
According to the publication, the DLC will shed light on the FFXIII heroine’s battle against Caius, and that the combat itself will deviate from the main game’s battle system.
Story DLC for the character of Lightning has been mooted by Famitsu before, where it claimed the new episode would ‘reveal the hidden truth’ behind FFXIII-2’s ending. Whether this is the same DLC planned for May remains unknown.
