The hotly-anticipated reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise will be receiving two special edition SKUs when it hits shelves in early 2013, Square Enix has announced.
In addition, Lara Croft’s Island-hopping adventure will also benefit from a host of pre-order goodies available at participating retailers.
First up is the Deluxe Edition, which includes a copy of the Crystal Dynamics-developed title, a mini art book, double sided map of the Island, and a protective survival pouch. In addition, gamers will also receive a code allowing you to download the official game soundtrack and a new weapon.
Also on the cards is the Survival Edition, which features all of the above goodies as well as a 6” Play Arts Kai Lara Croft figurine plus a “unique Endurance crew member’s metal survival box.” No pricing has been announced yet for either release, but we’ll keep you posted.
Finally, Square revealed that GAME, Tesco, Amazon and ShopTo will all be offering unique pre-order incentives for consumers who put down their cash early. More will be revealed in the coming months.
