We might as well get the most important question out of the way right off the bat. Did Square Enix announce Final Fantasy XIII as part of their E3 lineup? The answer is no. Now that that’s out of the way, we can move on to discuss what has been confirmed officially for E3 out of the SE camp.
For the PlayStation Portable, Square Enix plans on showing off two remakes from the Star Ocean franchise with First Departure and Second Evolution. The only other relevant title to Sony’s platforms is The Last Remnant which will more than likely be displayed on behalf of the Xbox 360 due to the delayed release of the PlayStation 3 version of the title.
One thing worth noting is that FFXIII can still make an appearance at the event and it wouldn’t be too shocking to see it pop up during the SCEA Press Conference on Tuesday morning. Outside of this happening though, gamers will probably have to wait until the Tokyo Game Show to get any new information about FFXIII.
