Seasonal updates for Foamstars are coming to an end after the next update, Party Goes On, ends on January 17, 2025, Square Enix has revealed.
Posting in a message on its official website, the publisher revealed that the latest season update will enhance Foamstars’ gameplay experience with expansions allowing players to customise shots of each character, and includes new enhancement elements such as the Prism Gems. This, it says, will ensure “players can continue to enjoy the game for the foreseeable future.”

All online services will remain available after the “PARTY GOES ON!” season ends. In addition, we plan to hold the FOAMSTARS CUP, a series of in-game events named after each character. Furthermore, to ensure that new players can fully enjoy FOAMSTARS, previous Season Passes will be made available again. Players can switch between Season Passes at any time to proceed along the Season Pass track of your choice and obtain items from past seasons. This will make it possible for players to obtain all the items from each season.
In regards to the Season pass, players will able to select one of their choosing to advance from past seasons’ passes and can feel switch to another pass at any point. The basic season pass is free while you’ll have to play for the Premium Pass. Furthermore, players can fork out for specific Season Pass Tiers to unlock the corresponding rewards.
Beyond that, Extreme Parties will be held every Saturday in the following cycle:
- Skill Shuffle Party!
- (Rotation*)
- Skill Shuffle Party!
- Overlap-OK Party!
Foamstars went free-to-play for PS5 & PS4 back in early October, allowing non-PlayStation Plus members to access the title.
