Square unveils Final Fantasy Ultimate Box Collection

Final Fantasy will be receiving a meaty Ultimate Box Collection as part of the series’ 25th anniversary, Square Enix has confirmed.

The bundle was announced during the on-going 25th anniversary bash in Tokyo, Japan today, and includes the following:

PlayStation 1 versions of Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI, the original PlayStation 1 versions of Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy IX, plus PlayStation 2 efforts Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy XI, Final Fantasy XII, and of course, Final Fantasy XIII.

In addition to this mighty collection of games, the collection will also feature a video disc containing an anniversary montage, a ‘Crystal Artworks’ book, Final Fantasy XIV item code for in-game ‘mogu mogu’ earnings, a mini-replica of the Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary visual logo as illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano, and lastly, a two-disc music CD compilation.

The Final Fantasy Ultimate Box Collection is scheduled for release in Japan on December 18, though a western launch has yet to be confirmed.
