Preorders for the PS5 Pro went live in the UK earlier today on PlayStation Direct (in case you missed it, retailers will begin preorders on October 10), and unfortunately for anyone who wasn’t lucky enough to secure one, they’ve already sold out.
Heading over to PS Direct’s PS5 Pro page simply states that the console is ‘Currently Unavailable,’ and there’s no indication right now when Sony will be getting new stock. As mentioned, major retailers will be opening their own PS5 Pro preorders in October, so if you missed out on PS Direct, you can have another stab at securing the high-end machine at a later date.

The PS5 Pro is pencilled in for release on November 7, 2024 in all major regions, and will retail for $699.99/£699.99. The console continues Sony’s trend of releasing a more powerful version of its existing hardware to bridge the gap before its new system arrives on the market. One of the major features of PS5 Pro is the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), which Sony’s Hideaki Nishino describes as “an AI-driven upscaling that uses a machine learning-based technology to provide super sharp image clarity by adding an extraordinary amount of detail.”
