On the heels of the new game announcement, Square Enix has released the first screenshots of Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness (click to enlarge) and a “series trailer” video that takes quickly takes viewers through the franchise.
Star Ocean 5 will be developed by tri-Ace and feature real-time combat in an epic space fantasy tale set on the untouched planet Feycreed located 6,000 light years from us. The game will release exclusively on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, with the PS3 as the lead platform before being ported to current-gen.
Character designs are being handled by Akira “Akiman” Yasuda, a Capcom veteran who contributed to the Power Stone series and the earlier Street Fighter games. Meanwhile, in the director’s seat is Hiroshi Ogawa, who’s previously worked on Star Ocean: Till the End of Time and Tales of Destiny.
