Electronic Arts has announced that it will debut the official Star Wars Battlefront 2 trailer on April 15, 2017.
The hotly anticipated sequel to 2015’s sci-fi shooter will debut as part of the Star Wars Celebration during ‘The Galaxy-wide Premiere of Star Wars Battlefront 2’ panel,’ which will be attended by developers DICE alongside Criterion and Motive. This will be the first look at Star Wars Battlefront 2 since EA announced plans for the sequel last year, can you’ll be able to tune in online and watch everything live as it unfolds.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is currently in development for PS4, PC, and Xbox One, and promises to offer a wealth of advancements over its predecessor, chief among which includes a dedicated single-player campaign. The original game was heavily criticised for its lacklustre gameplay modes, and this is something that DICE is eager to rectify with the sequel, promising a ‘dramatically larger’ experience this time around.
While EA has yet to confirm the Star Wars Battlefront 2 release date, it has said we can expect the game to show up at some point in fall 2017. As such, the studio is fully focused on the follow-up, with no plans to continue support for the original Star Wars Battlefront going forward.
