Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic Remake Dev Screenshots Surface From Aspyr’s Cancelled Version

Development screenshots from cancelled Aspyr version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake have surfaced online, giving us a glimpse at what could have been before the project was passed on to Saber Interactive.

The images appeared on the portfolio of a former Aspyr artist, and showcase a number of weapons and props that were being prepared for this scrapped version of the game. The artist stated that some of the props were being positioned for an introductory stage, while the weapons were being developed with a modular weapon system in mind, allowing the player to swap out parts to upgrade the firearms.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was originally in development at Aspyr Media, although after a long period of silence it was reported that production had shifted to Saber Interactive. That was a few years ago now, and we still haven’t seen anything substantial on the game, although the studio has reiterated on numerous occasions that the project is still in the works.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is currently in development for PS5 and PC with a release date yet to be announced.
