Stardew Valley Creator ConcernedApe Confirms A New Update Is Coming

Speaking during the Stardew Valley Symphony of Seasons concert in Seattle, Eric Barone, aka ConcernedApe, has revealed that Stardew Valley will be receiving another update, despite previously stating nothing else would be released until the Haunted Chocolatier release.

TikTok user jillbobagginz uploaded a video that quotes Barone stating: “After that [last 1.6] update, I was thinking, ‘I don’t know if I’m going to make another update’. But I wanted to share something with you tonight, it’s kind of a secret… there’s going to be another update.”

Stardew Valley was released in 2016 and back in January it was revealed the farming sim had amassed staggering 41 million copies sold worldwide. Speaking during an interview around that time, Barone stated that he wasn’t quite ready to “definitiey close the book” on the hugely popular title, and indeed that appears to be the case.
