ConcernedApe has revealed a new patch for Stardew Valley has been released, which comes with a number of key fixes including removing a rare crash and various other bug fixes. This latest update comes off the back of Stardew Valley update 1.6, which is a major release that features a brand new farm layout, four new festivals, new NPC interactions, new items, and much more.

- Changes for Vanilla Players
- Added additional spouse reactions during interaction without dialogue.
- Fish is no longer lost if the player passes out while holding it or while fishing into a pond.
- Animal products now properly reflect quality levels upon harvesting.
- Enhanced sound effect efficiency.
- Fixed an issue where spouses would be misplaced to coordinates (0,0) for farmhands.
- Corrected instances of spouses facing the wrong direction post-interaction.
- Prevented rare crashes during Robin’s construction animations.
- Resolved a rare crash issue when obtaining Stardrops with stowed tools.
- Fixed a duplication bug related to chimneys when creating a new save in version 1.6.9+.
- Resolved crash occurrences when homeless farmhands remained after cabin deletions.
- Adjusted player positioning within farm buildings on the world map.
- Made the geode menu more stable during window resizing.
- Fixed roommates requiring two house upgrades instead of one, aligning with other marriage candidates.
- Improved Russian language translation quality.
- Changes for Modded Players
- Addressed a crash issue when mods added excessive streamed .ogg sound effects.
- Changes for Mod Authors
- Enabled multiple instances of the same streamed .ogg sound effect for increased flexibility.
