Starhawk beta update 1.3 launches today, and with it comes a new 32-player map called Planet Dust. In addition, the update includes several new features and fixes.
Beta for Starhawk launched last November, and Sony says it is working on bugs found during beta. There has been several balance and feature changes to provide a stronger online experience when the final game launches on PlayStation 3.
Beyond the 32-player map, you’ll get the Sidewinder Jetbike, a vehicle that is all about speed. It’s perfect for quick hit and run attacks, fast road kills, or you can team up with others to swarm the enemy’s base. The Ox Heavy Tank is another vehicle, but this one isn’t a speed demon. It’s all about pure firepower. You can use it to destroy enemy walls and structures and it can survive barrages behind its armored shell.
Beta ends on March 27 so the team can prepare for the May 8 release. Beta is free and you can access it through the PlayStation Network.
