Lightbox has said that gamers can expect a healthy dose of free downloadable content for upcoming blaster Starhawk.
Speaking to Respawn, the game’s senior producer, Harvard Bonin, teased that some of the post-release pleasures may surprise some folk.
"Actually, I can’t go into specifics, but we do have a bunch of free DLC planned," said Bonin, adding, "and it might be surprising."
Naturally, the developer is also planning to release paid DLC too: "We, of course, have stuff we are happy to take your money for, too," he said.
"We rethought our DLC strategy and we’ll reveal more about it as we get closer to release.”
Starhawk will be kicking off an open beta at some point early this year. The main game itself is due out in summer 2012.
