Starlink: Battle for Atlas Crimson Moon

Ubisoft has announced that the Starlink: Battle for Atlas Crimson Moon update will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on the 30th April 2019.

The very same day that the newly-announced PC version, which also includes the Crimson Moon expansion, is set to release.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas Crimson Moon Update

Available for free on the above-mentioned platforms, the Crimson Moon update – which Ubisoft has characterised as “significant” – centres on the titular Crimson Moon and its sudden appearance in the Atlas system.

Providing players with the opportunity to compete in both single-player and two-player split-screen races, test their mettle against waves of opponents in the Crimson Colosseum, and, more importantly, undertake a number of brand-new faction missions and weekly challenges.

The Crimson Moon expansion also introduces five new pilots, three new starships, and eleven new weapons, available separately as a digital-only purchase.

“A Fun and Enjoyable Open-World Space Sim”

Despite some relatively repetitive side-missions and one or two other issues, we had a blast with Starlink: Battle for Atlas when it released back in October 2018.

“Ubisoft Toronto has crafted a gorgeous looking game, with a charming main campaign”, explained PSU’s Joe Apsey in our review. “If you’re looking for a good open-world space sim, then Starlink should be your next stop.”

Let us know if you’re still enjoying Starlink, and if you’ll be diving into the Crimson Moon expansion, down in the comments.
