Sony’s February 2026 State of Play broadcast has become the most watched State of Play broadcast in the company’s history, notching up over 3.2 million views at the time of writing.
The latest State of Play event was broadcast on Thursday evening and was about an hour and 12 minutes long, the biggest of any State of Play to date. The broadcast was packed with announcement, including Kena: Scars of Kosmora, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.2, God of War Remake Trilogy, as well as updates on Resident Evil Requiem and Saros.
In terms of views, it notched up over 200,000 more views that the June 2025 State of Play, which was the previous record holder for most viewed event. Having said that, the PlayStation Showcase from 2023 is still on top with nearly five million views, although that’s a separate event and not technically a State of Play episode.
One thing we didn’t get a look at during State of Play was Marvel’s Wolverine, although developer Insomniac Games had confirmed ahead of its broadcast that we’ll get our next look at the game in Spring 2026.
