Undisputed developer Steel City Interactive has announced that it is wrapping up support for the boxing title as it moves forward with a sequel.
Speaking in a YouTube video, Ash Habib, CEO of Steel City Interactive, confirmed that “we have started production on the sequel. Everything is going to be brand new, the passion is still there. And I feel like we now have everything we need, where Undisputed was that learning period of ‘we want to create the ultimate boxing experience,’ I think we did an incredible job in trying to achieve nearly all of those goals that we had. So, the future is looking very special for the franchise.”
As a result of this, support for Undisputed will now stop as the studio looks to the follow-up. Habib confirmed that triple-A developers have also joined up with Steel City Interactive from a number of major companies, including EA Sports, Rockstar, and 2K.
From today, all our efforts will go into shaping the future of boxing games. While Undisputed will remain available to play across all offline and online modes, we’re focusing our resources on developing a sequel in Unreal Engine. Our ambition is to deliver not just the best boxing experience, but the most advanced sports combat game possible and make sure you, our players, remain at the centre of everything we do. I want this to feel like it’s your game, and the moment there’s something to share, you’ll see it here first.
Originally known as eSports Boxing Club, Undisputed was released for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S in October 2024. You can read our full review here.
