Steep update 1.04 introduces the new World Tour Tournament mode, and two new challenges. A free Alaska map will also be available to download for all players on February 10, 2017.
Ubisoft’s action sport’s game, which features skiing, snowboarding, paragliding and wing-suiting, has now opened up registration for its World Tour Tournament.
Play Steep today to enter the qualification phase called “Backcountry”. Ubisoft explains more:
“Reach 5000 points to make it to the 2nd phase, the Tournament. The 32 best players on each platform during the Tournament phase will make it to the finals, where they will confront each other to win Steep credits.”
The new challenges in Steep update 1.04 include:
Community Challenges: Compete agains other players for high score and reputation
Branded Challenges: These unique challenges will reward the fiercest players with Steep credits and reputation points. They will also be available in the Alps in a planned second phase.
Other updates include:
- Improvements to jumps and tricks system
- Director mode gives you more control over your camera shots

In the press release, Ubisoft doesn’t give a release date for the Steep 1.04 update, but the video suggests it’s available today!
