Stellar Blade Censorship Controversy Prompts Dev To Thank Fans For Feedback, Says ‘Stay Tuned’

Shift Up, the developer behind PS5’s Stellar Blade, has taken to Twitter to thank fans for their “passion and feedback” in wake of controversy surrounding some alterations to a few of the game’s costumes, making them slightly less, revealing, shall we say.

“Thanks to all our Stellar Blade fans for your passion & feedback. Stay tuned for updates,” wrote the developer on Twitter.

In case you missed it, fans set up a petition on Change.org with the #FreeStellarBlade hashtag after the Stellar Blade day one patch seemingly altered a few of the game’s costumes, namely the unlockable outfits Holiday Rabbit and Cybernetic Bondage.

Right now there’s no word that the outfits will be reverted to their original incarnations, but it appears that Shift Up is at least thinking about it.

Stellar Blade was released on April 26, 2024 for PS5 and you can read our full review here.
