Hyung-Tae Kim, the director of Stellar Blade and CEO of Shift Up, has told Korean outlet Nate that the team is planning a Boss Challenge mode for the critically acclaimed PS5 title.
Details weren’t revealed during the interview but anyone who has played a game with a boss rush mode or something similar will know what to expect. Right now we can only speculate as to the number of bosses featured in the mode, and it isn’t known if players will be able to heal themselves in between battles.
Kim added that the team at Shift Up haven’t yet decided on other DLC expansions and free updates for Stellar Blade yet, suggesting the Boss Challenge mode is next in line. The game director also compared Shift Up to a baseball player, stating that its “DNA is throwing fastballs that gamers will like.”
