According to the Official PlayStation Blog, North American users can now download a specific Home-oriented theme in order to place their application in to be chosen for the Home Beta. However, the blog also stipulates that users won’t just be chosen at random.
"By downloading the theme, users are submitting an application to join the PlayStation Home Beta test community. We will be using a variety of criteria including activity on the PLAYSTATION Network to determine eligibility for the Beta community."
This will be a great chance for you PlayStation Network hermits to finally land a spot in Home.
