Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono has confirmed that the Street Fighter franchise will punch its way onto PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at some point.
Writing on Twitter, Ono-san was quizzed by one fan if the venerable beat-’em-up series would hit the new generation of consoles.
In response, the developer said, “Hahaha, some time or another…:p.”
Sadly, Wii U owners look like they’re going to be left out in the cold, as Ono-san confirmed Capcom has no plans for the system.
Back in June, the developer dismissed reports that Capcom would be taking Street Fighter down the pay-to-win route.
"The SFV news [in June] about a pay to win model is not accurate and isn’t something we’re planning for," he said. "Sorry for the confusion! We’re still in early planning stages and will share more at a later date."
