Capcom is beavering away on a new beat-’em-up title, according to the latest from Street Fighter IV legend, Yoshinori Ono.
Writing on Twitter, Ono-san revealed that Dimps, who co-developed last generation’s critically acclaimed fighting game, is on the lookout for staff to assist in a new project.
"We are recruiting colleagues to work together with us at Dimps studio for new FG," said Ono-san. For those unaware, ‘FG’ stands for fighting game.
No further information is available at this time, though we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
In related news, Ono-san did let slip earlier this summer that he’s working on a new game for PlayStation 4, though it’s unknown if this is related to the project described above.
Street Fighter V has been talked about for some time now, though with Capcom having only just released the latest iteration of SFIV, it seems unlikely they would launch into a brand new entry just yet.
Ono-san made headlines a few years back after falling ill following an arduous promotional period for Street Fighter x Tekken.
