Geoff Keighley has confirmed that Summer Game Fest will be returning on June 5, 2026, and will be taking place at a new venue: the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.
Tickets will be available in Spring 2026 and the blurb says we can expect “a spectacular, cross-platform showcase of what’s next in video games.”

Summer Game Fest first launched back in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic as a four-month event where various events and announcements were made. The show returned in 2021 and ran from June 10 — July 22, and with E3 now cancelled, Summer Game Fest took centre stage as the main video games showcase for the summer period. Subsequent years have condensed the event to a few days with major announcements taking place during the opening event, which had now moved to a physical show in Los Angeles.
