Failbetter Games has announced that Sunless Skies: Sovereign Edition will launch for PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on May 19, 2021.
The original game launched for the PC in January 2019 and if you already own it you can grab the Sovereign Edition free.
Sunless Skies: Sovereign Edition sees players at the helm of a spacefaring steam locomotive, as you take the new Victorian empire to the skies and beyond. Along the way, you and your hapless crew will barter for barrels of time, smuggle souls and find some much-needed downtime for a cuppa.
Set in a hostile world, this standalone story takes place within the Fallen London universe, where you must battle vicious marauders and fend off starvation, madness and terror.

Your engine is integral to your progress, and you’ll be able to keep it ticking over with powerful upgrades and weapons. Furthermore, your captain will face death many times, giving you the chance to build a lineage of them or reload your most recent captain as you embark on your journey to the Heavens.
