Super Meat Boy finally coming to PS4 & PS Vita; will be free for PS+ subscribers

In a stark case of better late than never, indie darling Super Meat Boy is coming to PS4 and PS Vita later on this year – and it’s going to be absolutely free if you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber.

Announced by developer Team Meat on Sony’s U.S. PlayStation Blog, the game – which saw a release on practically everything but Sony consoles (for a myriad of complicated reasons) – is finally arriving on Sony systems and those who haven’t played it are in for omewhat of a treat.

Commenting on the news, Team Meat’s Tommy Refenes said: ”We love you guys and girls and we’re so happy that you can finally play Super Meat Boy on your system of choice!”

Originally released back in 2010, Super Meat Boy was met with near-universal critical and commercial praise, with many outlets citing its pick-up-and-play quality and intense, yet rewarding, difficulty as its main aspects of triumph.
