Super Stardust Ultra – the definitive version of last generation’s premier PlayStation Network space shooter – is zooming onto PS4 on February 10, XDev Studio Europe has announced.
The new-generation version of everyone’s beloved twin-stick shooter will run at a seamless 1080p, matched too with 60 frames per second. Not only that, but there’s five newly designed planets in the offing, as well as a new mode called ‘Blockade’ where players must dodge an endless array of pesky mines in their path – it brings the single-player mode count up to a staggering 9. Plenty of replay value there, and that’s not to mention the leaderboards.
With the game also supporting four players in local split-screen and co-op as well as stereoscopic 3D this truly is the definitive version of Housemarque’s seminal shooter.
Priced at $12.99 – with a further 20 per cent off for PlayStation Plus subscribers – Super Stardust Ultra will be available next week, February 10.
