Nightdive Studios is keeping quiet on a System Shock Remake release date, but according to an updated listing on Steam, which claims the game will launch in March 2023.
Preorders for the game are now open, although there’s no confirmation yet that the March 2023 window is the real deal — it could be a placeholder, after all.
System Shock Remake takes place on an abandoned space station where players must the malevolent SHODAN, which wish hellbent on destroying humanity. The basic principle remains the same, but Nightdive Studios has completely overhauled the System Shock experience with new high-definition visuals, enhanced controls, a fresh user interface, and remastered sound effects and music.

To ensure the game remains faith to the original 1994 version, Nightdive Studio has worked closely with a number of System Shock team members, while expanding the game’s Citadel Station with new areas, traps, puzzles and secrets for players to unearth.
System Shock Remake is in development for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
