System Shock Remake Release Date For Consoles Still Up In The Air, PC Launch Due In May 2023

Nightdive Studios has announced that the PC version of System Shock remake will be released May 30, 2023, although the console version has still yet to attract a date.

Console editions of System Shock will release on PS4, PS5 and Xbox One and Series S/X in due course. More details on this when we have them.

System Shock Remake takes place on an abandoned space station where players must the malevolent SHODAN, which wish hellbent on destroying humanity. The basic principle remains the same, but Nightdive Studios has completely overhauled the System Shock experience with new high-definition visuals, enhanced controls, a fresh user interface, and remastered sound effects and music.

To ensure the game remains faith to the original 1994 version, Nightdive Studio has worked closely with a number of System Shock team members, while expanding the game’s Citadel Station with new areas, traps, puzzles and secrets for players to unearth.
