Straight off the bat, announcements are aplenty at the this year’s VGX Awards. In a world premiere, the newest Telltale Games episodic series has been revealed, with a surprise merging: Tales from the Borderlands.
Telltale Games partnered with Gearbox Software to deliver its take on the frenetic and distinct world. Players will control a slew of new characters and interact with beloved Borderlands locales and individuals,explained Telltale Games’ Director of Technology, Kevin Bruner in an interview Geoff Keighley and Joel McHale following the teaser trailer.
Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford joined Bruner in announcing the game and mentioned that, while Borderlands is very much a Gearbox property, Telltale will be bringing its storytelling skills to the table in a massive way. No platforms for the title were announced.
