After Techland acknowledged fans plea for a PS5 update over the summer, we finally have some confirmation that one is indeed in the works. Replying to a tweet from a fan asking about a 60 FPS boost on PS5, the developer responded through the Dying Light 2 official account saying that one is in the works, and we’ll know more in the coming future.
This is exciting news for Dying Light fans, who recently discovered they’d be waiting longer than what they originally thought for Dying Light 2, so since that has been delayed it wouldn’t be too much of a longshot to say this update should release prior to Dying Light 2’s launch, almost as a way to satiate players appetites.
Now while this is a confirmation that an update is in the works, this doesn’t confirm what will be included in the update. The tweet which the developers replied to an others mention things like 60 FPS and 4K resolution, which could likely be exactly what the update is. Though just to be safe, best to bet on it at least running at 60 FPS on PS5.
