Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate Adds Slash DLC Alongside King’s Gambit Update

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate developer Super Evil Megacorp has released a bunch of new content for the game today in the form of the Slash character DLC, plus the King’s Gambit free update.

First up, the King’s Gambit sees the infamous Rat King centre stage as the Turtles’ ultimate threat as a formidable end-game boss that waits deep in his realm. However, if you are to reach this menacing foe, you’ll have to defeat Shredder multiple times and rescuing Master Splinter in the process. You’ll also face more than just the Rat King himself, as he can summon other powerful foe to aid him in battle, and his challenging run will put your reflexes and combat abilities to the test.

As for Slash, the short-tempered Turtle is now available as a playable character, bringing the total number of heroes on the roster to eight. Slash is equipped with massive claws and brute strength, making him a force of nature on the battlefield. Players will be able to body slam and roll across foes while controlling the flow of combat with Slash’s knockback abilities. Meanwhile, his Enraged mode gives Slash a speed boost and inflict greater damage over a short period of time.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate launched for the PS4 and PS5 in May 2025, and takes the form of a roguelike brawler with action-RPG elements sprinkled in. Players control one of the four heroic Turtles — Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo — each one possessing specific traits (for example, Leonardo has speed advantage and low cooldowns). The game can be played solo or cooperatively, with support for up to four players.
