The creator behind the Tekken franchise has shared some more details on the mysterious Arabian character set to appear in the series’ upcoming seventh installment.
Speaking on Twitter, Katsuhiro Harada said that his team have “optimized” the brawler’s costume, and as such it’ll likely differ from the previous artwork release over the summer.
In addition, Harada-san also teased that more new characters will be appearing in Tekken 7, though their identity remains unconfirmed as of yet. Typically, every new Tekken gets a handful of new faces, so it’ll be interesting to see who crops up this time.
Tekken 7 is due to hit arcades in February 2015, and it is likely we’ll see a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release soon after that. The game will introduce a number of new gameplay mechanics, such as Rage Arts, and will utilize the Unreal Engine 4 to produce striking next-generation visuals and destructible environments.
