Tekken 7: New DLC character confirmed for spring 2018

New Tekken 7 DLC confirmed

Bandai Namco Games has confirmed that Noctis of Final Fantasy 15 fame will be joining the ever-increasing Tekken 7 roster next spring.

Noctis is the third slice of downloadable content for the critically acclaimed fighting game, and will arrive — sword in hand — in spring 2018 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.

The floppy-haired hero will bring his own unique brand of combat to Tekken 7, wielding his trademark Engine Blade in battle to inflict devastating combos on his unfortunate opponents.

In addition, Noctis will also be accompanied by a new Final Fantasy 15-themed stage, which takes place at the local garage where the gang hang out. The trailer also seems to set up a friendship between Noctis and Tekken 7’s Lars, with the duo seen fishing together at the end.

Tekken 7’s next slice of DLC is due in December, and sees Geese Howard of Fatal Fury fame looking for a punch up.

Tekken 7 was released on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on June 2, 2017. The game’s storyline focuses on the conclusion to the long-running Mishima family feud, which sees Kazuya and Heihachi squaring off in one final epic dust up.

Tekken 7’s roster eschews a number of classic fighters in favor of brand new combatants, including Shaheen, Lucky Chloe, Katarina, Claudio, and Gigas, although fan favorites such as Paul, Nina, Marshall Law, Lars, and Jin still remain.

Namco announced last month that the fighting sequel has sold over two million copies worldwide.
